I think our site being in the trees, using this material could give some really cool effects. Other than that I'm just posting up some of my research into solar and wind power. i think we should use a combination of solar, wind and propane possibly.
Solar: 1. solar thermal panels for the heating of water for domestic use, and a possible floor heating system 2. photovoltaic (PV) panels which convert sunlight to direct current electricity I think about 25 panels could do the job...i need to see how many kilowatts of electricity we think we'd use...but this number would produce about 7.5 kilowatts per hour / day in summer...and about 3 in winter. we could use smaller panels to power a pump for water...tanks could be elevated to generate water pressure
Wind:
a wind driven generator could provide a backup power supply. Propane: to use in backup generators in cases where the solar and wind power cannot provide the required energy (safety net).
