Hey all,
well it is now all over and done with (big sigh of relief)! Just to finish off i thought I'd leave you with my thought on the review...
Overall, i think it went really well...our group seemed to have addressed all the problems to a high standard.
We received positive feedback about our design, and its presentation. We did receive some suggested improvements still. These included a better way of presentation our circulation patters etc, through a section rather than a plan, as well as small things like "finishing off" the concept. The reviewers all agreed that our domus was interesting and exciting to move through...and then you end where you do...in a rather basic room. I had no looked so far as to see this anticlimax to a journey but it will most definitely help for future designs.
Thank-you to all of those wonderful people who gave us feedback on our design, and thank you also to Reece and Dan...been a pleasure working with you!

Copacobana C6 - Model Images
Here are some shots of the model we created.
Each panel on the facade was created using AutoCAD. These were then loaded into the lazer cutter machine, and cut out using a lazerbeam.
We decided to leave the panels in their raw state, having the dark edge from the lazer in combination with the colour gradient from the heat across the panels.
The site gradient (hill) was also created using the same system, however being spray-painted to add a contrast between the hill and the model itself.

Here is the model the reece, liz and myself built.
The site is made of 9mm mdf board with a gradient.The main model is also made of mdf, but it is 3mm. Each piece was made constructed in autoCAD and then we used the laser cutter to cut the parts out.

Final Design Model and Poster Presentations:
Final posters with photocollaged sections.
These have been scanned and photoshop edited before printing it out for render, after the colour pencil rendering is done, i've scanned the drawings in for photoshop touch up...
Once the plan is done, I've started drawing up sections which cut through the building to show as much information as possible, these 3 drawings are done hand drawn, rendering will be applied futher on.
Since the previous plan is not matching with the form of the roof, I've finalized the plan where walls are now spanning on the same way as the roof span.
After the client and designer session in the studio, the plan is more compacted compare to the previous design. Guttering has been worked out... Solar panels installed with overhanging eaves that shade the building. However it seems that the plan of the design doesnt quite match with the dramatic shape of the roof, its like having a 'cool hat' covering the plan... Therefore, need to refine the shape of the plan in order to blend in with the shape of the roof. And more research need to be done regarding to Solar Roofing, Rainwater Catchment, Toilet's Dark Water, Wind shutters for the roof, and material's performance... These are some pictures which represent our form. There is no structure yet holding up the structure. These will be the next addition.
The fanned roofs are for a number of different purposes. 1. The catch the rainfall and send it to the drain pipes for storage.
2. The ones above the sleeping pods stop the high summer sun from hitting the pods, but allows the low winter sun.

The final design's roof done on the plan did not match up with the sections, probably the idea did not get across well from previous' meeting...and thru the client and designer session we had in the studio, we were told that the design is too 'house-like'...Therefore compaction of space need to be done, and finalizing the roof design...More to come

From this point the poles supporting the building were changed to provide more support, and to be integrated with the drainage from the roof.
