Hey there my little designers...
Just posting up the notes I took at you review on Friday.
First of all it is great to see you took on the advice given to you last week. You've managed to compact your design much further, looked further into water storage, and it appears you are set for more changes.
Sam's thoughts...Sam mentioned that you need to consider a correlation between your roof plan and your floor plan. You have such a stunning form for your roof..and such an ordinary plan. Also to help you out with your concerns over your living area Sam suggested using your corridors as something (like a work zone) as well as a pathway. You could incorporate private/or communal study niches in there or something.
Concerns over heat loss at night...to close off the building at night two solutions were mentioned...a solar powered hydraulic pump or louvers...you need to work out which one to use and go for gold! (though as Sam said she is more concerned about heat gain during the day)
Shading walls...either hyper insulate or use thermal mass...rammed earth could work.
Water...remember that it is better to keep your water points close to your storage....for 1mm of rain per square m of roof you will catch 1 litre of water!!!...do you have enough?
Power...look at where you are going to put your solar battery collection point
Grey water...using this to feed your greenhouse got a tick of approval.
Toilet...the dry compost should be fine guys...
Just look into the layout of plan and bedroom design etc and you should be right.
Good luck
